The Type 11 armored recovery vehicle was developed to accompany the Type 10 main battle tank. The Type 11 is based on the same chassis, but features recovery equipment instead of a turret.
The Type 90 is the previous generation of main battle tank. Both tanks serve alongside eachother.
The Type 10 main battle tank was developed to replace the Type 74 main battle tank.
The 7.62mm Type 74 machine gun is used as a coaxial machine gun alongside the 120mm cannon.
For self-defense a 12.7mm M2HB heavy machine gun is mounted on the turret roof.
